Morning at the Beach

People tend to believe that teachers’ summers are footloose and fancy-free.  If only.  Like many teachers I know, my summers are generally filled with teaching summer school, running workshops, and finding whatever part-time employment I can so that I can put food on the table.

When I find a fleeting moment to take a quick break from the hustle and bustle of summer, I make sure that I savor every moment – including the beauty of random people on an overcast summer morning at the beach.
